Meetings

Guild meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month (September through May - NOTE: Nov 2024 meeting will be first Thu, Nov 7), and begin at 7:30.  Social/refreshment time is from 7:00-7:30.  Members may sell yarn and small equipment at the Second Chance Table from 7:00-7:30.  Evening meetings are held at Calvary United Methodist Church in Latham, NY, excepting January and February meetings, which are by Zoom.

Directions: Calvary United Methodist Church, 15 Ridge Avenue, Latham NY 12110
(on the corner of Belle Avenue and Ridge Place).  North of Latham Circle on Route 9,
turn east on Cobbee Road (by Price Chopper). At the flashing light, turn right. Take
the third left onto Belle Avenue.  About 1/4 mile you start up a small hill with a left
curve - the church is on the left.  

Day Guild: Day guild meetings are the fourth Wednesday of each month, from
September through May, at 10 am.  These meetings rotate between the homes of
different members.

Spinning Bee: A spinning study group for HMWG members who spin or want to learn to spin. Spinning Bee meets on the third Monday of the month from 1:30-3 pm. These meetings rotate between the homes of different members.

Visitors are welcome to evening guild meetings!  There is no need to call ahead of time.  Please feel welcome to show up at any evening guild meeting.   There will be a time during the meeting to announce yourself as a visitor.  

Accessibility information: Our meeting space at Calvary United Methodist Church is ADA accessible. There is a circular driveway that goes right up to the church door. The main parking lot is across the street. Meetings are typically held in the main social hall just past the entrance, and we use amplification for speakers. Day Guild and Spinning Bee meetings are held in the homes of members, which may not be fully accessible. Please contact any Guild officer for specific questions related to accessibility.
